HERE ARE SOME HIGHLIGHTS
From NID to Teams for Education
Fresh out of National Institute of Design (NID) with a master’s in Game Design, I joined Microsoft Teams for Education (EDU) as a Product Designer.
Coming straight from an academic environment, I brought with me a unique perspective - combining the empathy of a student with the insight of an educator. This dual lens helped me design with genuine understanding for both sides of the classroom experience.
One of my earliest projects was on the Teams for EDU Parents App, aimed at strengthening the bridge between teachers, students, and parents.
I worked on key experiences such as Announcements, FRE, and StudyBuddy - helping parents stay connected and engaged in their child’s learning journey.
PARENTS APP
I picked by Home Page redesign where we completely reimagined the Home Page experience for students and teachers. The new design introduced essential missing elements like Teacher and Class information, Assignments, Notifications, and Urgency indicators, making the interface more intuitive and action-driven. This revamp significantly improved engagement, contributing to higher monthly active usage (MAU) across classrooms, and was widely appreciated by educators and students for making their daily workflow simpler and more delightful.

JOINED WORD WEB
Later, I joined the Word Web team as part of the K2 Web modernization initiative, which aimed to upgrade legacy experiences across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
IMAGE HANDLES
I led the redesign of Image Handles, defining their modern interaction states and visual language for all WXP apps. This work was recognized with the People’s Choice Award - Innovation Star, for pushing forward design quality and consistency across the suite.
Beyond product work, I contributed to the K2 Web cultural journey, organizing and hosting multiple milestone celebrations - including the memorable End Celebration, where our team built a 50-foot-tall mountain installation to represent our climb toward success. I also helped create the symbolic flag-hoisting ceremony with our leaders at the mountain’s peak, marking the completion of the initiative and celebrating our collective achievement.

TABLE HANDLES
Following the success of Image Handles, I took on the existing work on Table Handles, focusing on modernizing interactions and improving affordance for users. This work made table editing and resizing more fluid and accessible, earning me another People’s Choice Award, this time in the “Passion for Quality” category.
Commanding Across WXP
As part of the broader Commanding initiative, I helped define and deliver modern, performant context menus and floaties across WXP.
This effort made a lot of impact making actions easier, reducing friction, and it significantly improved the overall authoring experience for users working across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
CRAFT AND
DESIGN SYSTEM
I also took ownership of the UI Kit and Craft Dashboard, pushing for design quality and system thinking across teams.
I represented the Craft initiative in multiple forums, conducted bug bashes, and drove cross-team quality events to uphold a high bar for visual and interaction design.
Through the UI Kit, we established reusable components and best practices that accelerated consistency and craft across our products.
Copilot for Word
Most recently, I contributed to Copilot in Word, working on features like Deep Comprehension, Commanding, and Proactive Suggestions. These efforts aimed to make Copilot a true creative partner, one that understands context deeply, suggests intelligently, and integrates seamlessly into the authoring flow.
